Association of the self-employed

We are an interest group of SMEs, self-employed and freelancers. Originally, the topic of traffic telematics - with a focus on the big city - was the starting point for our cooperation with Telematics Pro.
As a state association (cf. www.bdsberlin.de), we are in regular contact with the Senate of Berlin and hold an annual "Parliamentary Evening" with representatives of all parties represented in the House of Representatives for our members and guests from the SME sector. We organize networking evenings with various specialist topics, most recently on 29.10.2020 - exceptionally online - on digitalization for small and medium-sized self-employed people. In addition, we advise start-ups and other members on all kinds of problems related to their self-employment and are open to new approaches to solving the diverse logistical challenges of our clientele in Berlin and beyond.
Finally, we also influence federal policy through the lobbying work of the Bundesverband der Selbständigen e.V. (Federal Association of the Self-Employed). (cf. www.bds-dgv.de), in which our state chairman is one of the vice presidents. Overall, we have a network of around 30,000 members nationwide.

Charta digitale Vernetzung e.V.

The Digital Networking Charter is a corporate initiative, that emerged from the National IT Summit (now the Digital Summit) and was founded by members of the "Intelligent Networking" focus group. It comprises ten principles on various aspects of digital networking, which address the social and economic potential as well as the handling of data, infrastructures and standards.

By signing the Digital Networking Charter, companies are committing themselves to these principles, which also serve as a common basis for understanding. At the same time, their signature - and the practical demonstration of best practices - signal their willingness to take action both internally and externally.

The Digital Networking Charter called themself, as an overarching initiative and embodies a positive basic attitude toward the issues of digital networking. The charter cooperates in partnership with other initiatives, both in terms of topics and actions. It awards prizes for good examples of digital networking and, through its experts from the companies, identifies areas where action is needed.

SMEV AG

SMEV AG is developing a smart "ultra-mobile" IT system, patented in Europe, for the prioritization of emergency vehicles during emergency drives in urban environments. The conceptual design of the system "SMEV MOTION" is technologically flexible and can be easily implemented as modular standard software without proprietary system components.

SMEV Authority + SMEV Individual are the basic elements of SMEV MOTION. For acceleration, the traffic signals are automatically switched to a special program, the traffic ahead flows off and the emergency vehicle crosses the intersection at green. Individual traffic is routed out of the emergency corridors by route recommendation.
